My Approach
I will work with you at your pace but will also help motivate you to try new skills and tools that include your life. DBT helps to regulate emotions, decrease chaos in relationships, decrease stress and impulsiveness, being mindful of experiences and walking the middle path. I will utilize these approaches to help others recognize their strengths daily.
I find it important to be non - judgmental and utilize empathy and understanding throughout my sessions. I want to help each person that I work with feel more empowered and in control over their own life. It is also important to use humor when necessary to help the person that I am working with feel comfortable in the therapeutic environment.
